I came across this comic recently and while it made me giggle, the message is no laughing matter.

It’s frighteningly indicative of the “I want it and I want it now culture” we live in. Why work hard for something if you can just buy it? There’s a quick fix for just about everything: fast food, express lines, accelerated education, speed reading and streaming.

In our make-haste world, we can get degrees done and groceries grabbed online, our oil changed at minute lube, our lunch at the drive-thru. Heck, why not fast track our best bodies, too?

There’s liposuction, breast augmentations, face lifts, all kinds of goodies to nip and tuck and suck, pull unwanted bits out, tuck enhancements in.

And then there’s bariatric surgery…for kids…
